UNCOVERING MY NARRATIVE

My story is inherently tied to my roots.

As a first-generation Dominican-American, I’ve learned to navigate the nuances of community, identity, advocacy, self-care, and storytelling in my everyday life.

In 2016, while living in my hometown of Miami, I launched a blog where I vulnerably shared my journey of trying to "figure it out" and amplified the voices of millennial women shifting the culture.

Over time, I discovered that my spirit feels most alive when I create spaces for people to gather with intention, love, and curiosity.

Since then, I’ve been cultivating mindful, heart-centered spaces both online and in person. I’ve brought together a beautiful community of gentle, like-minded souls, most notably through the Chats with Cat Podcast® and the organization I founded and led for four years, Goddess Council.

During that time, I became more aware of the loneliness epidemic and how deeply I care about the importance of social wellness. For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with feeling like I belonged anywhere, so I made a commitment to build spaces that feel soul-aligned and encourage true connection.

In September 2021, I realized I was burning out and decided to bring Goddess Council to a close in order to prioritize my health and well-being. In the years that followed, I entered a cocoon and was slowly transformed by the power of love, travel, and creative expression. I committed to exploring what was next. While that may always remain an open question, I began writing my first book.

On the other side of that metamorphosis, my debut book Build It And They Will Come: A Guide to Architecting Intentional Community (Parea Books) was published in July 2024.

These days, I’m writing over at the bounce back, pouring into the Awake Book Club and The Creative Sprint. I’m also working on the manuscript for my next book, freelancing as a community strategist and consultant, making TikTok videos, taking long strolls with my dog Josie, and trying to soak in every fleeting second.

Throughout it all, i’m dreaming up new worlds that center love, liberation, community, and creativity.

THE ALCHEMY OF CHANGE

Leaping into my purpose work

The implications of 2020 forced me to reevaluate many areas of my life, particularly exercising my belief that mission-aligned community oriented living is my north star. During the year that ‘changed everything’ (aka the year of Miss Rona) I decided to take a leap of faith by quitting my 9-5 job and pursuing my dreams full-time. The Universe rewarded me for this transformation by naming me one of the 2020 #AerieREAL Changemakers!

In 2024 and beyond, the spirit of creating art and leaning into community-centric principles guides everything I pour my life force into.

I know what it feels like to not have a community and that’s why I work so hard to build them for others. I don’t want anybody to feel like they’re alone in the world.
